,when taking a test like the ACT is there any strategy to questions you are filling in at random?

I recently took my ACT test as a pre-nursing pre-recquisit. I was unable to complete all of every test in the time allowed. Is there any rational or stratagy in coloring the dots in at random? I only missed passing it by a point last time. I have heard "c" is always best when you are guessing at a mult. choice test, however I'm quit lerry of answering all of them (that i have ran out of time for) with a "c". At this point my stratagy is a good dinner, go to bed early, eat brekfast before the test......any suggestions?

i recently took the ACT's too well i am in middle school and i was asked to take them but thats what i did too. it was impossible to do all of the questions before the time limit! so what i did was i did the most that i could 5 minutes before the time came, and then when 5 minutes came before it ended, i fellid in the rest of the bubbles randomly.
Reply:If you don't know the answer leave it BLANK!!!! You are only graded on answered questions! It is better to leave blank then to guess!

Just answer all the ones you know for sure first then go back and try to narrow down the others...
Reply:A good dinner, early to bed, breakfast...is a good way to start. What I used to do was: I went through the test and answered all the questions for which I was sure of the answers. that part went relatively quickly, and I marked those questions lightly in the margins with pencil. Then I went through again and took educated guesses; I could usually eliminate all but 2 answers for any one particular question. If there were a few questions for which I didn't have a clue,... that's the only tine I'd choose randomly. I NEVER handed in my test early. I watched the clock. I usually had extra time which I spent checking over all my answers. Unless you see some indication of the end of the section you're working on, be sure to flip the page over. There may be more questions. Probably, needless to say, it helps to pay attention to textbooks and lectures. It's also good to use the restroom just before starting the test. Good luck.
