Which of the following is a continuous random variable?
a. Number of Honda Civics sold in a given day at a car dealership.
b. Gallons of gasoline used for a 200-mile trip in a Honda Civic.
c. Miles driven on a particular Thursday by the owner of a Honda Civic.

Another statistics question continuous random variable. best answer 10 points!?
A is discrete because the dealership only sells whole Civics, so it can only sell 0, 1, 2, 3, etc., Civics. The other two, B and C, are continuous as gallons and miles can be subdivided arbitrarily finely, so there is nothing to prevent using, say, 10.573 gallons of gas or driving 3.19 miles.
