Help with my C.V. (Resume or whatever you call it in america!!!)?

Im a student looking for a job to get a bit of extra cash so I've made out like 70 C.V.'s and Im just gonna hand them out to every shop in town but im wondering do I have to put them in thoese big brown envelopes? cause buying 70 envelopes could be quite expensive so is it ok just to hand in my C.V. without any envelope? its not like im going for a proper job. I always put it in an envelope when im going for an interview but in this case im just cold calling to random shops in town

Your C.V. or resume is a brief biographical snapshot of you. It gives a strong hint as to what type of person you are, how much experience, education you have, etc. It also is your only connection to the employer, once you walk out of their business. You want it to be as professional as possible. That means a great presentation. I would invest in quality envelopes and make sure the name of each business is printed or typed on the envelope. I would use #10 envelopes vs. the large brown manila envelopes.
