Store 1

n1=36

xbar1 = 40 yrs

s1=9 yrs

Store 2

n2=49

xbar2= 35 yrs

s2=10 yrs

For a .05 level significance test the null hypothesis. Ho: [mu1-mu2=0] against the alternative hypothesis Ha[mu1-mu2 not =0]. What is you conclusion about the mean ages of the populations?

a. test statistic = -2.41/ critical value = -1.96 so reject null hyp

b. test statistic = 7.04/ critical value = 1.645 so reject null hyp

c. test statistic = 2.41/ critical value = 1.96 so reject null hyp

d. test statistic = -7.04/ critical value = -1.96 so reject null hyp
