Why do people make fun of other people b/c of the way they look?

I no these kids that make fun of ppl i no b/c of their appearance. If i went n2 the whole story i would run out of space to rite...lets just say theres a lot of drama n my neighborhood. Me,my brother,my friend,her brother %26amp; some of r other friends that r here once n a while all hate them %26amp; there have omost bin numerous fights. Me %26amp; my friend just turned 16 %26amp; our brothers %26amp; their friends r gettin ready 2 turn 15.the kids that make fun of us r 12,13,14,15, %26amp; mayb 16. We never did anything to them %26amp; they started makin fun of my friend %26amp; callin her rude names about be n overweight an shes not that big. So her brother got mad %26amp; omost beat 1 of them up but then this other kid came who thinks hes all tuf. He said that if we left he would beat up my friends brother. He got n 2 a fight with him n skool and there is so much i could tell u but that is just some. 1 last thing: me %26amp; my friend were ridin bikes and this random guy rode by n his truck and yelled a rude coment 2 her!i cldnt believe it!

Why do people make fun of other people b/c of the way they look?
People are just plain mean! I agree with the responses that say that the ones making fun of you and your friends are insecure jerks. If they make fun of you and your friends, then that makes them feel better about themselves. No matter what, people can make fun of anyone. Even though your friend isn't overweight, they can still call her a fat hog. No one person is perfect, and so anyone can be made fun of for anything. Even the cutest girl in your class can be made fun of for the way she speaks, the way she dresses...anything!





If you go around the world with more confidence, then the things these people say won't bother you as much. It'll still hurt, of course, but it won't make or break you. I'm sorry to say that sometimes things don't get much easier as you get older, but I think we're more secure with who we are with age.





Hang in there and just don't try to reason with them. If they don't like you and make fun of you guys, don't do anything you can to get on their good side--it might just never happen. And that's okay. Sounds like you wouldn't want them in your life anyhow!

Reply:To answer your question it's to make themselves feel superior and better about there own miserable existence. When you get older the abuse gets less but if you don't do anything to stop them then you will always be a target so stand up for yourself.
