What are my chances of getting into UT austin?
With your background, you seem like a very good candidate for UT Austin (I'm assuming you are a Texas resident?). You sound like you have a great foundation and will be successful! Be sure to apply for all the scholarships for which you qualify, as your family situation means you can probably do well in that area. See your school counselor about the possibilities.
Reply:Go to TAMU...its a better school! haha but I'm biased...your lists looks good though so you should have no problem getting in....

Good luck! and Gig'em!

If a measurement is not very reproducible but close to the actual value it is very ________but not very_______

Reply:A.

Accuracy is how close you are to the exact answer. Precise means how close you are mathematically with the data you have recorded. If you are precise but not accurate, you could be absolutely wrong. This is not the case when you are accurate.
Reply:very accurate, but not very precise--

accuracy is when an experimental value is in close agreement with a theoretical one; precision is when two or more trials give results that agree with each other (that is, they're said to be reproducible)
Reply:The answer is A: accurate but not very precise.

Accuracy deals with how close to the actual value something is (e.g if the answer is 9, than 1.0 is more Accurate than 1.00001).

Precision is either how exact the measurement is (e.g. 1.00001 is more Precise than 1.0), or how "scientifically" the measurement is taken (A micrometer will probably yield more precise measurements than a length of string)

Reply:If a measurement is not very reproducible but close to the actual value it is very accurate but not very precise.
Reply:If it is not consistently repeatable then it would have to be random first, and if the result is close every time then it would have to be systematic. Depending on what you are measuring maybe the method of measurement need to be addressed.
Reply:a. accurate, precise

Something that is close to the actual value is accurate, whereas something that is exact is precise. Looking at the answers, we see A as the only one beginning with accurate, so we know it's the answer.

You GIRLS and GUYS really know HOW to be so D@MN...?

good at ansering q's. really, ive gotten some good ansers.

now here's the q.

im gonna be goin to vegas next semester and im really lookin for ideally a A) pretty girlfriend B) dating and stuff C) random 1 nighters

what are the girls like in vegas and how can i go about accomplishing this?

You GIRLS and GUYS really know HOW to be so D@MN...?
Heck, kid, we try! ;-)

For the Pretty Girlfriend, I would look around on campus. I'm assuming you'll be going to school there if you mentioned a "semester". Anyhow, to find a serious girlfriend, I would look to some clubs on campus. I don't know about asking a girl in your class until at least halfway through the semester because it might get weird of things go sour.

For dating, same thing--try joining some clubs on campus to find girls with similar interests. If you're looking to just date casually, let the girl know ahead of time so she doesn't get all into you when you're not interested in something long term.

If you're just interested in random one night stands, saunter around on the strip and find someone who's visiting. You can always ask, "So where are you from?" and make sure she lives far away enough to take pleasure in one night stands. When people go on vacation, they're sometimes more open to this idea. Just let her know that you're interested in her as a person...and that it would be really great if you guys lived closer together, but since you don't...you'd just like her for one night.

Have fun and be sure to let us know how it goes. I want to live vicariously through you! *LOL*

i am IN STATE

What are my chances of getting into UT Austin!?
You have done fantastic and would be great for UT. Unfortunately Texas has the 10% rule and UT tends to fill up with students that were in that group. I have heard of some stellar students that were not accepted. One of my neighbors had straight As, but didn't make the top 10%. She ended up going to Auburn.

One of my coworkers was accepted without being in the top10%, in part because she was in the band and was good enough to make the UT band.

Overall, I would guess you some chance of getting in, but not great. Make sure you have a plan B. There are so many students in your situation that we had 200 colleges recruiting students here at the local college fair. You might look at some of the best programs in neighboring states. I know LSU and Louisiana Tech have some great programs. You will get out-of-state fee waivers and scholarship offers. It's likely to be cheaper to go there than to stay in Texas.

He's so ineffective and never gets anything done. I've seen what Sasuke and Naruto can do from the manga, and I know for sure that Sasuke could kill Naruto easily. All Naruto knows how to do is yell and talk a lot. He only has two moves: rasengan and kagebunshin. Most people can do kagebunshin, and rasengan is the same thing as having a sword in your hand. All of the other ninjas mentioned are very adept and capable, and they could all beat naruto. Plus most of them don't yell all the time. Sakura used to be the worthless one, but now she killed an akatsuki and naruto let deidara get away because he couldnt control himself.

However, I would think that a random sample would be better, rather than a controlled sample. I don't believe that you should be using age or class position in your study. You should probably just use the the delta between reading skill age level and actual age to measure your correlation.

Decline in frequency of allele?

In a large, sexually reproducing population, the frequency of an allele changes from 0.6 to 0.2. From this change, one can most logically assume that, in this environment,

A. the allele is neutral.

B. the allele mutates readily.

C. random processes have changed allelic frequencies.

D. there is no sexual selection.

E. the allele reduces fitness.

I am stuck between B, C, and E but I'm not sure. Please help.

Decline in frequency of allele?
C is correct. Random processes can include major catastrophes like the eruption of Mt. St. Helen's. This is called Genetic Drift. When you have any type of population and a major disaster hits it will change the allelic frequencies. The bottleneck effect or founder effect will occur.
Reply:The question did not mention the drop in frequency was for the following generation. I realize that genetic drift is reserved for small populations but a drastic drop even in a large population would make one think something major happened. I don't think I was completely off base. Report It

Reply:The answer is E. the allele reduces fitness. Fitness is the contribution an individual makes to the gene pool of the next generation, relative to the contributions of other individuals. If a genotype has a relative fitness close to one (0.8) it is because natural selection is acting favorably towards the allele because it is beneficial. Therefore, if it has decreased (0.2) then the allele is no longer benefiting members of the population and has ultimately lost fitness.
Reply:Large sexually reproducing population, thus drift is out by itself. In this environment. This indicates no catastrophic occurrences. ATP man may be a good functional biologist, but evolutionarily speaking, he is wrong. E is the only possible answer giver the constraints of the question.
Reply:Yep, E. I don't think it's B. As far as I know, mutation is a pretty random event that usually doesn't favour a particular allele over another. Not saying that it couldn't conceivably happen, but it's not the most logical assumption.

C is probably not the answer they're after because the question says there's a LARGE population. If it were a small population, random events affecting a small number of individuals could easily drastically affect the frequency of an allele, but in a large population, that's less likely to be the case. Not impossible; just less likely.
Reply:I would go with C
Reply:E. the allele reduces fitness.

d. migration between gene pools

Which of the following is not a source of variation of alleles?,the frequencies of four alleles of a trait?
I sure hope this isn't your homework that I'm answering, haha.

1. (b) Number of alleles is predetermined. Crossing over is not correct because "chromatids break and may be reattached to a different homologous chromosome." (Thinkquest.) Recombination is basically the same thing, and in independent assortment the chromosomes that end up in a newly-formed gamete are randomly sorted from all possible combinations of maternal and paternal chromosomes, so that's not right.

2. (b) 100/4 = 25%

3. (d) Mutations help a population with survival by letting the ones with more environment-adaptive traits to prevail (Natural selection) and genetic recombination allows with genetic diversity and phenotypical diversity, which also ties into natural selection. Species and population do not contribute to evolution.

4. (c) Random mating is when two organisms make without regards to genotype.

5. (c) Inbreeding depression. Inbreeding makes more disadvantageous recessive traits show up in a population, causing numbers to fluctuate.

6. (a) Macroevolution is when you have something as drastic as a new species. Microevolution is evolution within a species.

7. (d) Definition of gene flow is basically "the transfer of alleles of genes from one population to another." (Wikipedia)

Which AriSoft should I buy?

I like to go AirSofting with friends when we can't go paintballing, as you can do it easier, and almost anywhere. Also, I may be using these for short videos my friend and I make. I'd like a quality gun that will last me a while (I take good care of my guns. The last one I had was a cheap MP5, and it worked fine until my friend broke it. If he hadn't broken it, I'm sure it would have laste much longer)

Here're some pages from catalogs I have:

Or, if you have any good manufacturers/companies, please tell me.

Thanks in advance.

Which AriSoft should I buy?
If you want REALLY good quality, and don't mind spending a good buck, go with Tokyo Marui. Also, you have to look at what kind of action you are looking for. There are Spring powered, AEG (electric), and Gas powered. Springs tend to be used in cheap pistols and high-end snipers, ranging in price from $25 to upwards of a $1000. The higher-end snipers are capable of hitting a target over 250 feet away, assuming wind doesn't take them off course. If you want a spring gun, I would recommend the Maruzen - Remmington CA870. Solid build, 284 FPS, pump style shotgun. If you want a really really cheap, great sidearm spring, I bought some kind of Desert Eagle from Dick's that was easily one of the more durable plastic guns I've ever had. It shots 302 FPS, has a 28 (I think) round clip, and shoots dead straight. I actually dropped this gun from the roof of an abandoned warehouse I played in and the only thing that happened was one side of the grip came off, which I easily slid back on. No ill effects at all. The only thing it, you have to recock it after every shot. But you have to do that with every spring so it's something you'll always have to deal with.

AEGs are probably the most common type of Airsoft gun. Ranging from $35 up to well over $1000, these are mainly used on SMGs and rifles. If I had to recommend a good, stable, upgradable gun for you, I would recommend the Tokyo Marui AK-47. Other than the lower receiver, this shares all its metal parts with the real AK-47. The wood is fake, but definitely not cheap nor breakable. Comes with a stock muzzle velocity of 290 FPS, adjustable hop-up and sights, semi/automatic modes of fire.

Last are the gas powered guns. Gas is almost soley used in pistols. If this is the direction you want to go, I would recommend the Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle .50 AE Hard Kick GBB. Great accuracy, solid construction, 2 clips (27+1) per gas fill, and easy maintenance.

Again, I would go with Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, or ICS. There are a number of knock off companies that make decent products, but Those 3 are really the top 3. Or you could get my favorite gun of all time, the KCS TMP. 330 FPS stock, AEG/Gas Blow Back, 41 round clip, optional silencer, 3.41 lbs, great accuracy, compact, 850 RPM with 134a gas, 1000 RPM with green gas. Not to mention, its small enough to be a side arm, but powerful enough to hold its own against rifles of all kinds.

How do I write a computer player for a tic tac toe game in C++?

Hi,

So in my computer class, we are supposed to write a tic tac toe game in C++. I have the program completly working. And for extra credit we are supposed to write a computer player, you can play against, but is unbeatable. I have a start, in so far, that it just puts random plays on the field(every game the same, and no strategy), but when the human gets two in a row, the computer blocks that!

I don't have any idea how to get the rest of it. i don't ask you to write the code for me(wouldnt complain, if you do though), but am hoping for a hint from someone, who has maybe even done that before or knows a lot about programming, since I just started less than a year ago.

for questions, suggestions, solutions, etc. I would be very thankful.

How do I write a computer player for a tic tac toe game in C++?
Why not have two instances of your computer player play each other continually? Log each move so that if one player actually wins you can find the error and correct the logic.

If you opened a bottle of water on the moon, waht would happen? b/c it is H2O in it and space has no oxygen.?

b/c space (as far as i know) has no oxygen. would it explode making a balck hole? or do nothing and just float there?? it's just a random question, but im bored. so yeah. and i mean like on the surface of the moon. just an astronaut opening a bottle of water...

If you opened a bottle of water on the moon, waht would happen? b/c it is H2O in it and space has no oxygen.?
Like everyone said, it will boil. To answer the last answerer's question, it will NOT heat up. Whatever temperature it starts out as, it will evaporate so fast the bubble form. (This is called boiling. It's the same boiling like a pot of hot water, but at a lower temperature). As the water boils, it gaseous water will take heat with it, leaving the liquid water colder so it's possible the remaining water will freeze them sublime. Whether it gets cold enough to do freeeze like this I think depends on the starting temperature, whether you're doing this in the sun or shade, and the starting quantity of water.
Reply:It would begin to boil, then it would freeze. Then the remaining ice would slowly sublimate and disappear. It does not matter for gravity if there is an atmosphere. And atmospheric composition does not matter for the thermodynamics of the problem. Oxygen or Helium... it's all the same.
Reply:As other people have already answered, it would first boil, because of no pressure, then freeze because of no heat. The passage from gas (boiling) to solid (ice), as someone else told you, is called sublimation; something that also happens on earth. E.g. you can dry your clothes even in sub-zero temperature because in the very dry air found in polar regions (I live in Norway) the air is so relatively dry (40% or less on the hygrometer) that it will sublimize.
Reply:The same thing that would happen on Earth, there is gravity on the moon still.
Reply:Well I'm not 100% sure, but I think it would freeze, or since it would be in a flimsy little plastic bottle, it would probably already be frozen, because the temperature in space is really really cold. But maybe the unfiltered sun light would keep it liquid, I don't know.

What I do know is that it wouldn't necessarily explode, and surely wouldn't make a black hole. It wouldn't explode unless it was under pressure in the bottle (which it would be if it had been bottled on Earth), and it wouldn't make a black hole because those are made when stars die, not when we open bottles of water in space.
Reply:Will boil. The boiling reduce the temperature and the water become ice. The ice subliminate too...

In the Moon there are near zero pressure. The boiling point is related to the pressure, so in the Moon the liquid water will start to boil as soon as you open the bottle.

In the space there are vry small quantities of gases, like a molecule / cubic centimeter. (about 90% hydrogen, 9% He, and other gases %26lt; 1%)
Reply:thanks for this question... with the answers you're getting, now I get to ask one, too....

when you guys say 'boil' are you meaning just that the water 'roils' as the bubbles of the gas leave the liquid or are you saying 'boil' as in it's suddenly hot and boiling like on the stove?....

thanks for letting me horn in on your post.....*smile*......
Reply:It would boil away rapidly into the vacuum of space there, in a matter of seconds.
Reply:It would boil. The boiling point of water decreases as the atmospheric pressure decreases, so since the pressure on the moon is zero, it would immediately boil.

And by the way, black holes are NOT created by explosions as small as a bottle of water. If they were, the things would be all over the place every Fourth of July.

How do i get music from my frostwire libary onto disc or onto my p.c?

im new to this p.c game so sorry!! ive downloaded loads of class songs into my frostwire libary! but i want to listern to em on random or summin instead of just clicking on them 1 at a time. or even better burn them onto disc! or transfer them to my p.c.. but how?? im ****!!

How do i get music from my frostwire libary onto disc or onto my p.c?
while I don't use frostwire. from what I see it is a peer to peer sharing program. as with any program, if you download a file it is stored in a folder on your computer. search your computer for a song you know you got through frostwire, open the containing folder and there you go...all the music files from frostwire, from there just make a playlist and burn them to disk.

Here is a link where you can ask the developers of frostwire.

The number of people in a car that crosses a certain bridge is represented by the random variable X, which has a mean value μX = 2.7, and a variance σ2X = 1.2. The toll on the bridge is $3.00 per car plus $ .50 per person in the car. The mean and variance of the total amount of money that is collected from a car that crosses the bridge are:

(a) mean = $1.35, variance = $ .30.

(b) mean = $8.60, variance = $ .30.

(c) mean = $8.60, variance = $ .60.

(d) mean = $4.35, variance = $3.30.

(e) mean = $4.35, variance = $ .30.

The number of people in a car that crosses a certain bridge is represented by the random variable X, which has
The answer is (e)

Let X be a random variable with mean μx and variance σx². Let a, and b be constants.

Let W = aX + b

The mean of W, E(W) = μw is:

E(W) = E(aX + b)

= E(aX) + b

= aE(X) + b

This is true be expectation is a linear operation.

The variance of W is:

Var(W)

= Var(aX + b)

= Var(aX) {because additive constants do not affect the spread of the data}

= a²Var(X)

= (aσx)²

Here we have:

W = 0.50 * X + 3.00

where W is the cost for the car and X is the number of people in the car.

E(W) = 0.5 * 2.7 + 3.00 = 4.35

Var(W) = 0.5^2 * 1.2 = 0.30

you can use the randInt(x,y) [and any other function you can type in the normal input screen] in your programs.

Why do people make fun of other people b/c of the way they look?

I no these kids that make fun of ppl i no b/c of their appearance. If i went n2 the whole story i would run out of space to rite...lets just say theres a lot of drama n my neighborhood. Me,my brother,my friend,her brother %26amp; some of r other friends that r here once n a while all hate them %26amp; there have omost bin numerous fights. Me %26amp; my friend just turned 16 %26amp; our brothers %26amp; their friends r gettin ready 2 turn 15.the kids that make fun of us r 12,13,14,15, %26amp; mayb 16. We never did anything to them %26amp; they started makin fun of my friend %26amp; callin her rude names about be n overweight an shes not that big. So her brother got mad %26amp; omost beat 1 of them up but then this other kid came who thinks hes all tuf. He said that if we left he would beat up my friends brother. He got n 2 a fight with him n skool and there is so much i could tell u but that is just some. 1 last thing: me %26amp; my friend were ridin bikes and this random guy rode by n his truck and yelled a rude coment 2 her!i cldnt believe it!

Why do people make fun of other people b/c of the way they look?
People are just plain mean! I agree with the responses that say that the ones making fun of you and your friends are insecure jerks. If they make fun of you and your friends, then that makes them feel better about themselves. No matter what, people can make fun of anyone. Even though your friend isn't overweight, they can still call her a fat hog. No one person is perfect, and so anyone can be made fun of for anything. Even the cutest girl in your class can be made fun of for the way she speaks, the way she dresses...anything!

If you go around the world with more confidence, then the things these people say won't bother you as much. It'll still hurt, of course, but it won't make or break you. I'm sorry to say that sometimes things don't get much easier as you get older, but I think we're more secure with who we are with age.

Hang in there and just don't try to reason with them. If they don't like you and make fun of you guys, don't do anything you can to get on their good side--it might just never happen. And that's okay. Sounds like you wouldn't want them in your life anyhow!
Reply:Life is about attitude act like Clint East Wood or Stone Cold Steave Austin! I actually took steroids once just to get people to leave me alone. IT did work. Only for a short time tho. Report It

Reply:These people are imature, and need to grow up. This is expected of small children. Another reason is that they are insecure with themselves.
Reply:people insult others because of one reason:

THEY ARE INSECURE.

so next time you hear someone calling you or someone else you know names, or making fun of them, remember they don't have much self-esteem.

take care.
Reply:They're rude azzholes because they are miserable themselves. I bet everything in their lives are horrible so they poke fun of others to feel vindicated. Don't pay them any mind--maybe they'll die lmao
Reply:Law of the jungle: Pick on someone else so that people don't pick on you. Usually done by people who have significant problems and want to keep others from noticing.
Reply:To answer your question it's to make themselves feel superior and better about there own miserable existence. When you get older the abuse gets less but if you don't do anything to stop them then you will always be a target so stand up for yourself.

How do you know if you need a D%26amp;C? I miscarried well over a month ago and was not very far along. I have been?
I think you may need a d+c, but you really need to talk to you doctor, it sounds like you may have an infection. I'm sorry for your loss.

Question: What are complications from a missed miscarriage?

Answer: With a missed miscarriage, your body may show no sign that that baby has died. It could take several weeks before your body shows any signs at all. The most common complication is infection. Signs of infection include severe pain, fever, foul odor from discharge, and recurrence of bleeding.

brown discharge 5 weeks after miscarriage

Hi....I am 26 %26amp; usually have normal periods. I was 17 weeks pregnant an had to have labor induced about 5 1/2 weeks ago because my baby had die . I bled %26amp; had brown discharge for about 1 1/2 weeks after that, which hey said is normal. BUT 4 weeks after I delivered my baby I start having just a few spots of blood and then some brown discharge. I just figured it was my period coming. Well, this was 12 days ago and I am still having the brown disc arge...just spots here or there %26amp; sometimes it skips a day then comes ba k the next day. I was told to maybe take a pregnancy test %26amp; I did today and it came up negative. ..so I am wondering is this my period and is it just abnormal because of the miscarriage?... or could I be pregnant even though the home pregnancy test said it was negative??? What is this stuff and why is it still here after 12 days??? Thank you.

You are no longer pregnant, and your bleeding is from the miscarriage, but should straighten out within a cycle or two.

Dilatation and curettage; Uterus scraping

Definition

D and C is a procedure to scrape and collect the tissue (endometrium) from inside the uterus. Dilatation ("D") is a widening of the cervix to allow instruments into the uterus. Curettage ("C") is the scraping of the contents of the uterus.

Description

D and C, also called uterine scraping, is a fairly minor surgical procedure. The procedure may be performed in the hospital or in a clinic using general or local anesthesia.

The vaginal canal is held open by a speculum, and the opening to the uterus (cervix) may be anesthetized. The cervical canal is widened using a metal rod, and a curette (a metal loop on the end of a long, thin handle) is passed through the canal into the uterine cavity. The inner layer of the uterus (endometrium) is scraped away, and the tissue is collected for examination.

Indications

Uterine scraping (D and C) may be done to:

* Diagnose conditions using the tissue samples collected (biopsies)

* Treat irregular or heavy bleeding

* Remove fetal or placental tissue -- used for some elective or therapeutic abortions and to remove any remaining tissue after a spontaneous abortion (miscarriage)

D and C may be recommended for:

* Bleeding between periods

* Heavy menstrual bleeding

* Investigation of infertility

* Endometrial polyps

* Uterine cancer (early diagnosis)

* Thickening of the uterus (endometrial hyperplasia)

* An embedded IUD (intrauterine device)

* Therapeutic or elective abortion

* Miscarriage

* Postmenopausal bleeding, or abnormal bleeding while taking hormone replacement therapy medications

Risks

Risks due to anesthesia include:

* Reactions to medications

* Problems breathing

Risks of any surgery include:

* Bleeding

* Infection

Additional risks include:

* Puncture (perforation) of the uterus

* Laceration (tear) of the cervix

* Scarring of the uterine lining (endometrium)

Expectations after surgery

D and C has relatively few risks, can provide relief from bleeding, and can help diagnose infection, cancer, infertility, and other diseases.

Convalescence

Normal activities may be resumed as soon as the patient feels well, possibly even the same day. There may be vaginal bleeding, as well as pelvic cramps and back pain for a few days after the procedure.

Pain can usually be managed well with medications. Tampon use is not recommended for a few weeks, and sexual intercourse is not recommended for a few days.

My sister had a miscarriage and is scheduled to have a D and C. What can you tell me about this procedure?

- No name / No state given

Mayo Clinic obstetrician and gynecologist Roger Harms, M.D., and colleagues answer select questions from readers.

Answer

Dilation and curettage (D and C) is a minor surgical procedure in which your doctor widens (dilates) your cervix and gently suctions (aspirates) tissue from inside the uterus. Sometimes a long metal instrument with a loop on the end (curet) is used after the suction to scrape the walls of the uterus, making sure it's empty.

D and C is often used when an incomplete miscarriage has occurred and some fetal or placental tissue remains inside the uterus. Not everyone who has a miscarriage needs this procedure. D and C may also be used to determine the cause of abnormal uterine bleeding not due to miscarriage.

The risk of complications from D and C is very low. Complications include damage to the connective tissue of the cervix or uterine wall, which can affect subsequent pregnancies or fertility. But these problems are rare.
Reply:YES YOU NEED A D%26amp;C YOU COULD GET A VERY BAD INFECTION
Reply:yea It would probably be a good idea to go get checked out. You run the risk of having infection.
Reply:You should never have a "natural miscarriage" without seeking medical attention. Judging by how you say you feel, there may be a chance that an infection has set in. If that's the case, you can become seriously ill or worse. Your body needs to be rid of what is remaining otherwise you are asking for trouble later on down the road.
Reply:I would go to the doctor and have a check up. Tell him or her what is going on with you. Then he or she can tell you weather or not you need a D%26amp;C.
Reply:I'm really sorry to hear about your loss.

Doctor's don't like giving D%26amp;Cs unless it is completley necessary, despite what everyone else is telling you, as there can be alot of complications as firstly you go under anaethestic, secondly they go in blind and can perforate your bladder and things like that. I've had two miscarriages, I had a D%26amp;C with the first one as it wasn't coming away and with my second it came away naturally.

When you miscarry you do bleed for about 2 to 3 weeks and get your period about 6 weeks after that.

You need to phone your doctor though as you may still have some tissue left, ask them to refer you for a scan and this will determine whether you need a d%26amp;C , it sounds like you do have an infection of some sort.

The cramping pains could be everything returning to normal or a sign of infection, ring your doctor today!

Good luck for the future and don't be scared you have every chance of having a successful pregnancy, I've got three very healthy kids, sometimes it just happens for a reason, I know it's not a kind thing to happen to you and if you are really struggling to cope with your loss it might help to do something to mark it.

I wrote a poem and planted a beautiful bright tree which flowers when my baby was due, your pain does get easier but you never forget.

Best wishes

Vanessa x
Reply:Your doctor is the only one who can recommend a D%26amp;C. You should call your doctor and let him/her know what you are going through and see what the doc says.
Reply:Yes, you should see a doctor. You may have retained some of the products of conception and may need a D %26amp; C.
Reply:I think you should go see a doctor. A obgyn, can tell you what is going on, also can do the dnc if you need it.
Reply:I had a miscarriage in March and I only bleed for a week the doc told me if I had alot of pain and bleeding heavily then I will have to schedule a d%26amp;c luckily I didnt. Sounds to me you need one.

Just call the doctor and tell them whats going on. They will probablly look at you and schedule one if needed.

Im sorry to hear about your loss and hope everything goes ok.

Im sure that god will bless you with a little on someday!

There is a website you can go to and it has a forum to post questions and stories. It for people who has has miscarriages.

the web site is http://www.pamsupport.org/forum/index.ph... its free to join and everyone there has been through what your going through!
Reply:You should have had an after-miscarriage check up with your OB. If you have a fever, you might have a uterine infection. If you weren't having a fever - just with all the symptoms you are having, a D%26amp;C would be a good solution. However, with a fever, it's a sign that your body may have an infection.

Schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN. Do not hesitate, make the appointment first thing. If you're running a fever over 101, I really suggest that you go to the emergency room.

D%26amp;C's are no big deal. After my 5th child, I had a lot of spotting, guck, yuck...from having a lazy uterus that didn't heal from birth right away. They put you to sleep, and wipe out the guck, and wake you back up. I had no side effects, and actually healed from birth a lot quicker after that.
Reply:why havent you been to a dr? any miscarraige runs the risk of being incomplete. you need to go asap before you end up in the hospital %26amp; having a hysterectomy
Reply:Go to the Doctor, stop having sex, (if you can't answer this crap for yourself, you shouldn't be having sex at all...STUPID PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BREED!!!!!) and it's DNC not D%26amp;C....I really hope that this question is a joke...how old are you?
Reply:You need to see a doctor.This is very serious.You could get an infection that could make you really ill, kill you, make you infertile, etc.Only your doc can tell you if you need a D%26amp;C.
Reply:I am going to shout this at the top of my lungs...GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not a doctor, but what you describe sounds like an infection. I've had 2 miscarriages, one at 9 weeks and one at 7. My doctor told me to come back in if the bleeding did not stop after about 2 weeks. You said it's been more than a month, so I would highly suggest you go see a doctor very soon. Please. I don't know if you need a D%26amp;C, but you definitely need the opinion of someone more trained than people on here. (No offense to anyone.)
Reply:See your doctor and let them do a check and blood test to see if you still have any baby and placenta left. Sounds like you may be having a incomplete miscarriage
Reply:you should have had one after your misscarrage.. the dr. should have done it automatically to clean out your uterus from it.

so sorry about your loss!
Reply:No matter how far along you were... all Dr's should know to perform a D%26amp;C... I was barely six weeks when I had my last miscarriage and I had a D%26amp;C!!! By not getting it checked out... you could cause permanent damage to yourself... GO as soon as possible and be checked by a OBGYN!!!!!!!!
Reply:Yes definitely go see a doctor ,I had the same thing but I was having three babies I lost one had one takin out from my belly button and a month later they said I was still preg. so plz go see a doctor. and my daughter is going on 15 now and in very good health.
Reply:You should always have a D%26amp;C because that is takes out what does not come out on its own. Not having a D%26amp;C some times causes damage that could keep you from getting prenant in the future because or scare tistue.
Reply:Go see a doctor right away. Only that person can tell you the proper thing to do. From what you mentioned, it does sound like you may need a D%26amp;C to remove the remains and "clean" out your uterus.
Reply:did u go to the drs?did you have a scan after your miss?you should of done to see if you have lost all the tissue or not,but if the answer is no then get to the docs and get a scrape,its really quick and you go hoe the same day.
Reply:You should have had a d%26amp;c when you started to miscarry...go and talk to your Dr and tell them that you are still bleeding...all of the tissue may not have passed through yet...having a d%26amp;c gets it all.
Reply:Do you have a doctor? You should go and see him...
Reply:go see your doctor right away
Reply:Hello- you should of seen a doctor- fever %26amp; pain could mean you have an infection...because you didn't have a D%26amp;C- go see a doctor now
Reply:Go to the docter and get advice!!
Reply:There are four types of miscarriages: threatened, inevitable, incomplete and complete. A threatened miscarriage is any bleeding or cramping of the uterus within the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. Inevitable miscarriage is intolerable pain or bleeding that threatens the woman's well-being. If parts of fetal tissue are passed or if the membranes are ruptured, the miscarriage is called incomplete. If the entire fetus is passed, the uterus has reduced in size, and the cervix has closed, the miscarriage is termed complete.

When a woman has a miscarriage, she has cramping pain and bleeds from the vagina. She also may become depressed. She may not feel the need to see a doctor following a miscarriage because she has concluded that the pregnancy is over. But, as in the case of an incomplete miscarriage, she may not expel all the fetal material naturally. A D%26amp;C procedure may be performed to remove any remaining material so that she will not develop an infection, inflammation or additional bleeding. Material must be removed from the uterus and cervix to clear the way for the next pregnancy, if one is desired.

D%26amp;C is also done in the presence of:

Abnormal bleeding from the vagina if present without pregnancy.

Polyps — generally harmless growths that can occur in the cervix or uterus — which become irritated through sexual intercourse or start to bleed. A D%26amp;C procedure is usually used to remove polyps.

Fibroid tumors — generally noncancerous — that can break in the uterus and bleed, occasionally severely. D%26amp;C can identify and sometimes remove small tumors, although generally a more extensive operation is required.

Endometrial hyperplasia — when the uterine lining is too thick. D%26amp;C can remedy this condition.
Reply:You should go to your local hospital or your doctor

right now.With having pain as well a fever,it sounds

it is not out.I would go to your doctor to be 100%

sure.Left untreated could leave you to further problems.

A D%26amp;C will be done if the doctor feels it is necessary.
Reply:The best advice you will get is from your Doctor. Why not consult him? I wish you the best!
Reply:I would definetly go see your doctor.

I get return reprt as under.I contacted google help center but they dont give specific place for a person to Qtn %26amp; answer. At random one's qts is pickd up and answered. I am still trying thro them. But still if some expert who reads this help me step by step that would be too nice.

Here is the retrn msg

I am unable to send mails from gmail a/c to somm Ids. .?
I assume you are only unable to send to some people, not all?

It could be that the IT-department who is in charge of the recipient's account has blocked all gmail accounts due to a high number of spammers using the free gmail accounts. Call the person you are trying to e-mail, and have their IT department put your e-mail in the safe senders list.
Reply:need more details to help you....Is it your home or your work computer and do you have broadband internet connection or Router...and what antivirus you have like mcafee has this problem.....i can help you but only if i have remote desktop connection with your computer...or send me detailed information and also try to use this e-mail from some other computer so we can find out if it is a gmail specific proble or something effecting on your computer.... like outlook express enabled account....

coz SMTP is simple mail transfer protocol responsible for sending outgoing mails...
Reply:I Think The Receiver Has Blocked Your Email Id. Even I Also Use Gmail, It Has An Option To Block Emails From Specific Email Id's. If The Receiver Has Not Blocked Your Id, Check If You Are Entering The Correct Sender's Id. Check The Spelling Of Id Too. I Hope It Would Work.

On an examination given to 40 students, 5% received an A, 20% a B, 40% a C, 25% a D?

On an examination given to 40 students, 5% received an A, 20% a B, 40% a C, 25% a D, and 10% an F. If a student is selected at random, the probability that the student received neither the mark D nor an F is:

(a) 0.75

(b) 0.65

(c) 0.35

(d)0.675

On an examination given to 40 students, 5% received an A, 20% a B, 40% a C, 25% a D?
1 - .25 - 0.10 = 0.65

so (b)

.
Reply:answer b
Reply:Hi,

Neither D nor F means, the student gets either A, or B or C,

The probability is (5 + 20 + 40) % = 65% = 65/100 = 0.65

(b) is the right answer.

An intersting fact that happened in 3000 b.c.?

i need to answer.. who what where when and why on an intersting fact that occured in 3000 b.c. or around that time period.. if you could give me ideas and like anything because i have to write a page or two on the fact.. it could be a cool artifact or person or just a random cool fact.. please help!! thanks

How much experience with C++ would you need to save High Scores? Also, can you help me?

I have a simple program. A Random Number Generator makes a number, from 1,000, and the user guesses it, and continues to guess it until they get it right, and it records the guess taken. I want to know how I could save the amount of guesses in a high score type way, how much experience I would need to do that, and if I could do it by saving the lowest amount of guesses. Yeah, I'm a newb.

Also, I'm using Dev-C++ for my compiler.

How much experience with C++ would you need to save High Scores? Also, can you help me?
I learned how to do that in first semester college so it shouldn't be that difficult.

I would go here:

http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8%26amp;oe...

I searched in google. what you are looking for is a header at the top called fstream. Take a read...it is very interesting!
Reply:The data would have to be stored externally, since the data gets trashed when the program exits.

I assume the guessing function is a loop right?

The only thing you need to do is output the results to a file somewhere, and then retrieve it again when the program loads again.

An inspection procedure at a manufacturing plant involves picking three items at random and then accepting?

an inspection procedure at a manufacturing plant involves picking three items at random and then accepting the whole lot if at least two of the three items are in perfect condition. if in reality 80% of the whole lot is perfect, what is the probability that the lot will be accepted?

(a) .512

(b) .560

(c) .640

(d) .896

(e) .992

*please show how you arrived at your answer.

An inspection procedure at a manufacturing plant involves picking three items at random and then accepting?
Probability of all three being perfect (.8)(.8)(.8) =.512

Probability of two being perfect:

(.2)(.8)(.8) +(.8)(.2)(.8) + (.8)(.8)(.2) =.384

At least two perfect means you add these two up and get .896

So, the answer is (d)

Anyone know any good sites to find C++ tutorials that cover more then just the basic things?

Does anyone know a good site or sites to find tutorials for the C++ programming language? I've found a lot of sites but none of them go much farther then the very basics. A few of them have a couple random topics on more advanced things but not enough to really learn anything off of.

Anyone know any good sites to find C++ tutorials that cover more then just the basic things?
My suggestion is to get some books. Web sites aren't really suited to the long format that books are. It's really worth the money. If you are lucky you can find a library with them.

Some of the best authors are

Koenig %26amp; Moo

Herb Sutter

Scott Meyers

Bjarne Stroustrup

Andrei Alexandrescu - his book "Modern C++ Design" is a mind-bending template book. Seriously advanced stuff.

You can find excellent book reviews at accu.org. In fact you should check every book you buy through there. This way you skip the junk. Some books teach bad things and have negative value.
Reply:I would use Thinking in C++ V1 and V2. After that, I'd be looking at the C++ FAQs book.

There are good forums and mailing lists that have experts in C++. I'll go to those places to find answers to my questions after I fail to find answers from these books.

Thinking in C++ is worth a buy.
Reply:go through google

How do i simulate a Nasa space shuttle based on debris impact in C++?

The program will define a two dimensional incident zones, one for the shuttle’s wing section and the body. These 2-D incident zones provide a coordinate system that identifies the location of random debris in the shuttle’s forward path. The identifying locations within a zone are called cells, as illustrated in the diagram below, and is identified by two coordinates for the x and y dimensions.

Each cell has an associated “impact resistance factors” (IRF) for tiles located in the shuttle’s body and wing sections. The IRF is a hardness measure of the various tiles, and a higher IRF indicates a harder tile. An IRF %26lt; 0 indicates that a particle cannot make contact with the shuttle in the corresponding cell and zone. Important: Assume that a particle passing through a cell will strike the shuttle if any part of that cell contains part of the shuttle.

program will perform the following actions for each simulated particle:

a) Randomly select whether the particle is incident on the wing or body. A given particle can only be incident on one. Keep track of the total particle incidents for each incident zone during the simulation.

b) Randomly generate valid x and y coordinates for the incident zone which indicate that the current debris particle in the simulation is incident in the (x, y) cell of the body or wing zone (randomly selected in the previous step).

c) Keep a count Cx,y of the total debris incidents for each body and wing cell.

d) Generate a random force F, where 0 %26lt; F %26lt; 0.50 for each particle incident. F is the force of impact if the particle collides with the shuttle’s ceramic tile.

e) Maintain the average force, (FAVG)x,y in per-cell detail of particles that impact the shuttle

How do i simulate a Nasa space shuttle based on debris impact in C++?
Correlate each of these points with the specific portions of the question based on the numbering.

a) Fix the number of tiles you have in a shuttle (say N). Generate a random number using a pseudo Random number generator (lets call it R1). If the random number generated is between 0-1/N then the particle strikes tile 1, between 1/N-2/N it strikes tile 2 and so on... (that answers both a and b)

b) Maintain a counter per tile to record the number of hits.

c) Use another random number generator (R2) to generate the force of the particle hitting the tile.

So you need a tile structure which looks like this:

class Tile

{

private:

int x, y; //location

int hitCount;

double averageForce;

public:

Tile(int x = 0, int y = 0) : x(x), y(y) {}

~Tile () {}

void setLocation (int x, int y); // to set the co-ordinates

void hit (double force); // this should recompute average force

};

main()

{

Tile tiles[1000]; //how many ever you want.

for (int i = 0; i %26lt; 1000; i++)

//set location of all tiles

while (...)

{

double r1 = random ();

double force = drand48(); // use appropriate seeds

if (r1 %26lt; 1/1000)

tiles[0].hit (force);

}

}

You can create an output stream file object and write the names and scores in a file...

for recording a score:

If you have a loop for guessing, include an incremental variable in the loop, such as:

score++;

So that every time you ask, it increments the score by 1.

for saving:

#include %26lt;fstream%26gt;

#include %26lt;string%26gt;

ofstream myfile;

myfile.open ("example.txt");

cout %26lt;%26lt; "What is your name?";

string name;

cin %26gt;%26gt; name;

myfile %26lt;%26lt; name %26lt;%26lt; score;

myfile.close();

Include something like that in your code :)

Please pelase please how c an i do that or start it plz??

how can I start and hold a conversation with a random girl. in club or on beach how to build strong, long lasting connections with the girl i mean make her involved more and more . (*how c an i open a lovely funny I mean I can get that attractive glare from them and whatnot, but usually when I walk up to talk to them, I run short of what to say because I'm nervous,the things that was on my mind theya r e mpty to go out my mouth :( and I often look away allot mid conversation because of what they might think of my face, and instead of concentrating on the convo, I concentrate on what she is thinking (and sometimes bad breathe), so sometimes I hold my convos really short because of bad breath (how can I get rid of it??) And usually when you talk to someone you observe their features right ? ? Well I don't allow that when I'm close enough to a person, I will talk to someone face to face if we have distance. Now I know I'm an attractive person, because every girl in my group o

Please pelase please how c an i do that or start it plz??
You need to relax. Just be yourself and converse casually and smile alot. Do not keep looking away as it shows you are not really interested in what she has to say and is taken negatively. its okay to be nervous and many people are. Just take it slow and be yourself.
